Safeguard and clean up your underhood wiring mess and get rid of those cheap, multiple inline fuse holders with our Safe Accessory Power System (SAPS). It provides 7 fused circuits from 1 A to 170 A each, allowing a simultaneous draw of up to 230 A. Includes a marine-grade, dustproof and waterproof (IP66) fuse box with 4 automotive blade fuse slots and 3 larger, bolt-in, AMI stud mounts . The SAPS neatly installs under your hood right by your factory fuse box via its stout, anodized aluminum mounting bracket. Also includes a custom lugged, 1 AWG, TPE jacketed power supply cable which neatly routes to the bus bar on your factory battery. A 3D printed, Carbon Fiber Reinforced Nylon cable clamp and hardware secure the cable to prevent chafing. It’s “topped off” with all stainless steel fasteners for durability in all climates and conditions. Detailed and comprehensive installation instructions include advice on best-practices for upgrading and terminating any new or existing cabling to your accessories as well as required tools for such.

  • Does EOS do installations?
    • No.
  • Where can I find someone to install my SAPS?
    • I suggest a (flexible/high-end) stereo installation shop.
  • How long does the install take?
    • The install itself takes about 15 minutes. However, the much larger job is modifying (and improving) your existing cables to connect to the SAPS. Depending on your existing routing and number of circuits, this could be 30 min to many hours.
  • The BlueSea Systems Safetyhub 100 (fuse box used in the SAPS) is rated for 280 A, why is the SAPS only rated for 230 A?
    • The cable is the limiting factor. It is already very large and I did not want to make it monstrous. I also figured most could easily get by with 230 A simultaneously.
  • Why is the SAPS mounting bracket so thick, isn't it overbuilt?
    • Its thickness is about working with the factory Bronco design and ease of installation. The thickness (a standard sheet material thickness) lets it mates perfectly with the gap between the fender and subframe where it mounts. Is it much stronger than it needs to be? Absolutely!
  • What is a TPE jacketed cable and why should I care?
    • EOS specifies a Thermoplastic Elastomer jacketed power cable. Without getting to aerospace or exotic materials, it is the best jacket out there and significantly ahead of the PVC typically used by OEMs. Check out this comparison table:
